Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how FunderMatch LLC ("FunderMatch", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you visit fundermatch.io, build a business profile, request matches, browse or review lenders, or use the platform as a funding partner. It applies to business owners, funding partners and visitors.

FunderMatch is a business funding marketplace. We are not a lender. When you choose to engage a funding partner, that partner's own privacy practices apply to the information it collects from you.

Information you provide. Depending on how you use FunderMatch, this may include:

• Contact details such as name, email address, phone number and business address
• Business information such as legal name, industry, time in business, revenue, funding amount requested and use of funds
• Financial details, self-reported credit information and funding preferences or deal-breakers
• Documents you upload, such as business bank statements, and information extracted from them
• Messages you send to funding partners or to us, reviews you write, saved searches and favorites
• For funding partners: company details, products, funding criteria, contact information and content you publish on your profile

Information collected automatically. When you use the site we collect device and usage information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring pages and interactions, using cookies and similar technologies described below.

Information from other sources. We may receive lender reviews and ratings from third-party review platforms such as Trustpilot, and outcome information from funding partners about applications you chose to submit to them.

• To build your business profile and generate AI-powered lender matches based on funding partner criteria
• To share your profile and application with the funding partners you choose to engage
• To operate the platform: accounts, dashboards, messaging, application tracking, notifications and support
• To analyze uploaded documents and improve the accuracy of matches and recommendations
• To display and moderate lender reviews and ratings
• To measure and improve the site, including with analytics tools
• To communicate with you about your matches, applications and account, and, with your consent where required, about products and content we think are relevant
• To detect fraud, enforce our terms and comply with legal obligations

Funding partners. When you request matches and choose to connect with or apply to a funding partner, we share the information needed for that partner to evaluate your request. Partners use that information under their own privacy policies and may contact you about your request.

Service providers. We use third parties that host the platform, store files, send email and notifications, process documents, provide AI services and provide analytics. These providers act on our instructions and are limited in how they can use your information.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect our rights, users or the public, or in connection with a merger, financing or sale of all or part of our business.

We do not sell your personal information for money. If we ever share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, we will provide the choices required by applicable law.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences and understand how the site is used. We use Google Analytics to measure traffic and interactions; Google may set its own cookies and process usage data under its privacy policy. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on. Disabling cookies may affect some features.

• You can update your profile, preferences and communication settings from your dashboard.
• You choose which funding partners to engage; we do not send your application to a partner without your action.
• You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any message.
• Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your personal information, or to limit certain uses. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. We will verify your request and respond as required by law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong password and keep your login private. We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements, and then delete or de-identify it.

FunderMatch is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where required. Questions or requests about privacy can be sent to privacy@fundermatch.io.
